Oregon Motorcycle Insurance Coverages

At Bancorp Insurance, we want to help you make the best decision to protect your motorcycle. Each of our policies can be customized to accommodate your unique needs. Our insurance has been designed with you in mind. Here are a few of our coverages options:

BODILY INJURY AND PROPERTY DAMAGE LIABILITY – Provides coverage for an accident in which you are found at fault.

Example: You are out for a sunset ride when the sun catches your eye and you don’t see the car in front of you slow down. You’re able to quickly swerve out of the way. The bad news? You took out a mailbox on the side of the road. This insurance will pay for the costs of replacing said mailbox.

COLLISION – Pays for damages to your motorcycle that has been caused by a collision with another object.

Example: A vehicle plows into your bike while it is parked, causing major structural damage.

COMPREHENSIVE – Covers damages to your motorcycle not caused by a collision.

Example: Theft, flooding, vandalism or wind damage.

UNINSURED/UNDERINSURED MOTORISTS COVERAGE (UM/UIM) – Will cover damages stemming from an accident when the party at-fault is uninsured or does not have enough coverage.

Example: Your motorcycle is hit by a motorist in the parking lot of your local grocery store. They don’t have insurance or the money to pay for damages to your bike. This coverage ensures you’re not left footing the bill.

CUSTOM PARTS & EQUIPMENT – This additional accessory coverage can be purchased in addition to your comprehensive and collision insurance.

Example: Your motorcycle has been customized with specialty steel sprockets, a progressive suspension system and an after-market force exhaust system, but your insurance will only pay to replace them with stock parts. This coverage will help to ensure that your motorcycle is returned to peak condition following an accident.

MEDICAL PAYMENTS – Covers your personal medical bills stemming from a motorcycle accident, regardless of who is at fault. Restrictions and limitations apply.

Example: After stopping at a red light the car behind you rear-ends your street bike, throwing you off. You sustain a serious injury and are in need of hospitalization. Medical payments coverage will help you cover these costs.
